Headlining: The Points North
Genre: Folk

The Points North was founded in January 2008 when duo Saint Joe Hazelwood (Christopher Alspach and Regina Peterson) expanded with the inclusion of Tiger Saw/Fort Orange drummer Dylan Clark. As a trio The Points North compose their hushed minimalist New England-inspired folk songs with nylon-string guitar, octave mandolin, Irish flute, reed organ, percussion and the male-female harmonies of Alspach and Peterson to deliver their twenty-first century take on traditionalist country folk songs. From their home in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood The Points North have played widely at DIY venues, and recently released a split cassette with The Woodrow Wilsons. The band is currently recording their first full-length album to be released on Grinding Tapes Recordings and are planning a month-long European tour for March 2009.
Opening: Jenny Montana & the Fancy Pants
indi/folk

Jenny Montana & the Fancy Pants describe themselves as "sweet, sweet music." Not so sweet as to get a gummy-bear tummy-ache, but otherwise apt. Upon listening to The Points North, a lightbulb went off: "WE'VE GOT TO GET THIS BOSTON BAND PLAYING ON A BILL WITH BURLINGTON'S VERY OWN Jenny Montana & the Fancy Pants." The rest is history...errr...yet to be made. Should be a great show, hope to see you there!
